Nature of the Service

AnalyseMyCV is an AI-powered tool that provides automated analysis of CVs and job descriptions for informational and guidance purposes only. The output generated by this service is produced by artificial intelligence and does not constitute professional careers advice, recruitment consultancy, or employment guidance.

The scores, recommendations, and analysis provided are algorithmic estimates based on pattern recognition. They should be treated as one input among many in your job search — not as a definitive assessment of your suitability for any role.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

AnalyseMyCV makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee that following the recommendations provided will result in a job interview, job offer, or any other employment outcome. Hiring decisions are made by employers based on a wide range of factors, many of which are outside the scope of this tool.

Results will vary between users. Past performance of the tool is not indicative of future outcomes for individual users.

Accuracy of AI Output

The AI models used by this service can make mistakes. Scores may not accurately reflect how a human recruiter would assess your CV. Recommendations may occasionally be generic, irrelevant to your specific sector, or based on misinterpretation of the input text.

You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated output critically and for any changes you make to your CV or cover letter based on this service. We recommend seeking additional guidance from a qualified careers professional, particularly for specialised or senior roles.

No Professional Relationship

Use of AnalyseMyCV does not create a professional relationship of any kind between you and the operators of this service. No advice provided through this platform should be relied upon as careers, legal, or employment advice.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AnalyseMyCV and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of this service, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunity, loss of earnings, or any decisions made in reliance on the outputs of this tool.

Intellectual Property

The content of your CV and cover letter remains your own. By using this service, you grant AnalyseMyCV a limited licence to process your submitted text solely for the purpose of generating analysis. We save a summary record of the analysis (scores, structured AI feedback, filename, job title and employer, and one short verbatim line from your CV used as the rewrite example) to your account history, along with the job description text so you can re-run against the same job. The full text of your CV is not stored unless you opt in — if you tick "keep my CV for 14 days" it is retained for 14 days so you can re-run an edited version (then automatically deleted), and you can withdraw and delete it any time from your account. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Saved Analysis Retention (90 days)

Every saved analysis is automatically deleted 90 days after the date it was run. This includes the scores, structured feedback, the quoted CV line in the rewrite example, and the associated PDF download. After 90 days the record is permanently removed from our database and the PDF can no longer be downloaded or emailed.

The 90-day window is fixed; it cannot be extended on request. If you want to keep a copy of an analysis beyond 90 days, download the PDF to your own device before it expires. You can re-run an analysis at any time on the same CV and job description if needed — paid plan rules apply to re-runs.

If you delete an analysis from your history manually, or delete your account entirely, the relevant records are removed immediately rather than waiting for the 90-day mark.

Free Tier and Abuse Prevention

Free-tier usage is limited to a small number of analyses per IP address and per registered account. To prevent abuse of the free tier — for example, repeatedly deleting and re-creating an account to refresh the free-score allowance — we retain a one-way cryptographic hash of the email address used by any deleted account. This hash is irreversible and cannot be used to recover the original email address. It is used solely to recognise a re-registration attempt and apply the prior free-tier usage to the new account. Full details are set out in our Privacy Policy.

We may also throttle account creation from any single network address that creates several accounts in quick succession. Legitimate users (including those on shared work or family networks) should not normally be affected. If you are blocked in error, contact hello@analysemycv.co.uk.
